April Waning
Like I said last time, this month's been so great for me. My birthday was really nice- we did a big presentation night with my friends and got to watch the Artemis 2 crew return to earth as we were eating dinner. It was a really special day, and one of the best birthdays I've had in years. Thank you to all my friends who worked hard to make my birthday special, especially since it's always sort of an awkward day for me :)
Following my birthday, Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream finally came out! I have been playing every day since it came out, and I cannot recommend it enough. The mii creator is really good. Definitely not as expansive as Miitopia, but it's still really really great. I've made so many miis and I will continue to make more. I made an entire island just to recreate From...
WHICH BY THE WAY, the first two episodes of Season 4 are here, and both times I have crumpled to the floor, screamed, and cried. This is not an exaggeration. I keep thinking back to things and getting the same feeling right before a panic attack. I'd say I'm surprised that I'm this affected by it, but considering I built up the anticipation for this so much and I'm 100% sure there's AuDHD at play here, it's just been annoying to have my chest constantly tight. I am very very glad that I'm getting Ao3 levels of falling-out before Tabitha and Jade kiss each other though. That scene in the barn was phenominal no notes.

April being goated as usual
This month is literally and actually one of the most exciting I've had in a good few years. My birthday is on the 10th, TOMODACHI LIFE is making a comeback on the 14th, and FROM SEASON 4 COMES OUT ON THE 19th so I will be STRAPPED to my seat with my eyes wide open to see how the fuck they recover from the end of season 3. I've had a lot of really cool things to do in classes, so school-wise things are going well. I ALSO just opened commissions, so I've been really happy to get to draw characters for people :)
I honestly don't have much to update on specifically right now, it's kinda just a bunch of anticipation for projects that are being released, so once I actually experience them I'll post my thoughts and stuff.
Finals, From, and F... Spring Break
It's finals week!!! AAAAAA!!!!
It's actually fine though, because I've had great classes this semester, and I even got one of my finals turned in a week early (a short story about a vampire that was delightful to write... maybe I'll post it somewhere on here). I've had a lot of time to spend catching up with my friends before they all leave for spring break, and part of this includes watching the tv show From(MGM)!
If you haven't heard of From, I'm not surprised, bc the title is so generic it's impossible to look up without adding the words "tv show" to your search. BUT! It's an absolutely PHENOMENAL show, and I can't recommend it enough, especially if you're into mysteries and horror. If you've seen the webseries "No Through Roads" on YouTube, the premise is like that, except instead of a tunnel, they're stuck in an ENTIRE TOWN, and there's monsters that look like people who kill you if you're outside of your house during the night. Unfortunately, no amount of introduction can communicate how absolutely WILD the twists and turns this show takes are- it's one of those shows where it keeps you guessing, and every guess is sort of right but in the most wrong way possible, and then when you actually get an answer to one of the many mysteries in the town, it just brings up even more questions. The newest season comes out April 19th (so close to my birthday that it MUST be a sign) and I genuinely have no fucking clue how they're going to start the next episode based on what happened in the last scene of season 3. My jaw was on the floor.
Slowly but surely, I've been indoctrinating my friends into watching it with me, so I've seen the whole show about 4 times in totality (this current watchthrough will be number 5). Today, I watched up until S1e5 with my friend, and by the end of it, he was sobbing and I was tearing up even though I'VE SEEN THIS SCENE 5 TIMES NOW!!! The relationships between all of the people in the town are so well done, and the sense of community that they build and the familial bonds they form with each other makes it devastating when something goes wrong. And a BUNCH of shit goes wrong. If you get nothing from this post, it's that you have to please please PLEASE watch this show. It's streaming primarily on Amazon Prime or MGM+... but I'm sure you could find it... elsewhere.
Hello!
First blog post yaaay! This is the first entry so I'm not really sure what to do... so I guess I'll introduce myself in a more informal way than I have in the other little blurbs on this site.
My name's LemoneAide (you can call me Lemone!) and I make art- a lot of art! I have a youtube channel where I post art and commentary, but I post a lot more of my art on my instagram.
Outside of the internet, I'm a student in university studying sound design with a big passion for music! I've focused most of my life on mixing and editing music, but uni's thrown me into new areas like recording production audio (for tv and movie sets), sound for games, and a whoooole bunch of stuff that's been so cool to dip into. You might not think about it, but sound carries a LOT of the media we interact with in our lives! The next time you watch a movie or show, pay attention to the sound. You might find some cool details that make the viewing even more special.
Another noteable fun fact is that I ADORE jellyfish.
They're my favourite animal, to the point that I was considering doing an entire rebrand of my sona to be jellyfish themed! Instead, I'm probs going to add a page of this site dedicated to jellyfish. I'm thinking of having a "Jelly of the Month", where I talk a little about a different species every month and maybe add some more fun fish-related sprinklings around as well.
I appreciate you wanting to get to know me and grow with my site! I'm excited to update it, so I hope you'll check back to see the journey.
